"I am interested in the production and use of evidence in International Development to support the design and formulation of public poverty alleviation polices and programmes . In particular, I am focused on research synthesis (eg systematic reviews, meta-analyses, evidence maps) as a method to appraise, aggregate, and configure development research. Together with the Africa Evidence Network, our team at the University of Johannesburg is producing policy-relevant evidence syntheses and provides capacity-building on the use of such research evidence. We are currently working with the governments of Malawi and South Africa on a DFID-funded project to support senior decision-makers’ consideration of evidence during policy-making processes."
